Shlomo (Momo) Lifshitz, President - Oranim Educational Initiatives

Momo is the founder and president of Oranim Educational Initiatives, Israel's leading educational travel company. His vision of securing the future of Israel and the Jewish People has been a guiding light through his entire career.

Born in Tel Aviv in 1956, he served with distinction in the Israeli Army, rising to the rank of Lt. Colonel and saw action in the Lebanon War (1982). He acquired a B.A. from Bar Ilan University in Sociology and Political Science, sociology and high-school teacher's certification.

Momo left the army in 1984 and joined the Society for the Protection of Nature in Israel (SPNI).

In 1986 he founded Oranim Educational Initiatives; a travel company geared for the young traveler and offered Jewish oriented programs to Israel and to destinations around the world. Oranim operated the first birthright Israel program in 1999 and as of 2007 is the largest birthright organizer with over 35,000 alumni. Oranim has branched out into many areas including volunteer programs to Israel, Christian pilgrimage travel to Israel and educational school travel services (non-Jewish). Momo has a certification from the Israeli Ministry of Tourism as a Specialist in Israeli Tourism.

Oranim, as a Green Company, has partnered with the SPNI in a program to protect Israel's nature and environment. To this end Oranim has adopted the Sea of Galilee trail.

Nir Kouris, Co-CEO

A veteran of various youth leadership and camp initiatives, Nir has been known as a high-tech entrepreneur from the time he was a teenager.

After completing his military service with honors in the Israeli Air Force, Nir participated in a fellowship through the Jewish Agency and the Avi Chai Foundation, which trained summer camp supervisors and educators. He continued on to become a supervisor for the largest division at the well-known Surprise Lake Camp in New York and was awarded "outstanding supervisor" for his exemplary work.

Upon returning to Israel in 2005, Nir was inspired to combine his interest in entrepreneurship and passion for hi-tech with his love of working with youth. Collaborating with colleagues, he established the Computers Youth Movement in Israel, which uses technological tools to bridge between youth and their communities. Additionally, he serves as a mentor for Israeli-based groups such as Young Entrepreneurs ("Yazamim Tzeirim") and Unistream, and the international group - Innovation Factor Foundation (I.F.F.).

Dotan Tamir, Co-CEO

Dotan is experienced in successfully operating technology summer camps in Israel and the US. He served as both Counselor and Asst. Director at Emagination Computer Camps at Philadelphia, Boston and Atlanta.

In 2004, Dotan co-founded the Israeli computers youth movement, which bridges kids with their community using technology. He has served in an elite technology unit of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), and directed the operation of "Computers & Fun", summer and holiday program in Israel at six different locations.

Dotan is committed to technological education. With his experience and many years in the fields of youth education for technology, Dotan has established the team which has brought eCamp Israel to life.
